Laboratory Services

The Barstow Community Hospital laboratory is a full-service, Joint Commission-accredited, CLIA-certified and State of California-licensed laboratory that serves inpatients and outpatients of all ages.

We to tend to the needs of our community by offering the following services:

• Chemistry testing
• Hematology
• Coagulation
• Serological tests
• Blood bank
• Microbiology

For your safety, a written order from your primary care physician must be received by the hospital before we’re able to provide any of these services.

The lab is located in the basement of our hospital, just to the left as you exit the elevator. For a shorter wait time, we advise that you come during our normal operating hours. Should you come outside of these hours, you may need to check in at the emergency room, which can increase your wait depending on how many patients are being treated.

Hours of operation for outpatient services:

Monday – Friday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
