Birthing Suites
We know that the arrival of a new child is a defining moment for a family. For this special reason, the maternity wing works hard to partner with mom and her support group to keep everyone comfortable and informed through the whole process.
Each of Barstow Community Hospital’s spacious birthing suites includes a specially designed birthing bed and private shower for comfort as labor progresses. The rooms are also designed so that there’s no need to move mom out of the room as the moment draws near. From labor through postpartum, mom and baby can stay in the same room until they’re ready to go home.
Suites include:
- A sleeping recliner so mom’s support partner can stay the night
- Natural light through large windows
- Wi-Fi access
- HDTV
- Individual temperature controls
After a C-section, new moms recover in our hotel-like postpartum rooms—where we keep pampering top of mind.
