Sports Medicine

Sports injuries can result from many things, including acute trauma or repetitive stress associated with athletic activities. At Barstow Community Hospital, sports medicine is used to treat common musculoskeletal injuries that affect the bones, soft tissue, muscles, ligaments or tendons.

Recovery is a 24/7 activity. Not only do physicians help coordinate patient rehabilitation needs with the physical therapy department, but we provide instructions for home exercise programs, too. We have a full compliment of services that include a diagnostic imaging department, hospitalist care and rehabilitation services that can be used to diagnose and treat sports-related injuries.
