Barstow, Calif. — Barstow Community Hospital Board of Trustees announced that Adam Loris has been
named CEO of Barstow, effective April 1, 2023. Adam’s extensive hospital leadership experience will serve
us well as we work to pursue our goals.
Most recently, Adam served as the Chief Operating Officer of Heartland Regional in Illinois. Before that,
he was interim CEO of the Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena, AR. Previously, Adam served as
Assistant CEO of McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, a 113-bed hospital in Springfield, Oregon. As
ACEO, he led the creation of a COVID testing lab, launched a gastroenterology service line, worked closely
with the medical staff on clinical operations, and led physician recruitment efforts for the hospital. Adam
also served as ACFO, interim CFO at McKenzie-Willamette, and interim CFO at Barstow. Before joining
Mercy Health System’s Physician Practice, Adam began his healthcare career as a Polysomnographic
Technologist for three years in St. George, Utah.
He earned his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor of
Science in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from Southern Utah University.
