New Medical Group Providing Emergency Department Physician Services at Barstow Community Hospital
Barstow, CA, (Dec. 4, 2024)—Barstow Community Hospital (BCH) announced that Seva Medical Group, an emergency medicine group of physicians, will lead the hospital’s physician team beginning on Dec. 1. This collaboration brings skilled emergency care providers to the Barstow community as part of the hospital’s commitment to accessible, quality care.
Karan Singh, MD, Zachary McCarty, MD, and Brandon McCullough, Physician Assistant, will become members of the medical staff at BCH and oversee the delivery of care in the emergency department.

Karan Singh, MD, MBA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Karan Singh, MD, earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine through the prestigious B.S./M.D. Thomas Haider Program at UCR/UCLA. He completed an MBA in healthcare administration and a residency in emergency medicine at Loma Linda University Health. Dr. Singh also completed postgraduate training in healthcare safety, quality, informatics, and leadership at Harvard Medical School, as well as a fellowship in executive leadership with Envision Healthcare and Jefferson Hospital System in Philadelphia. He serves on the board of the Riverside County Medical Association and holds teaching faculty appointments at Loma Linda School of Medicine and UCR School of Medicine. Dr. Singh is dual board-certified in healthcare administration and emergency medicine.
Zachary McCarty, MD
Medical Director
Zachary McCarty, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He earned a B.S. in business administration from Pacific Union College before completing his medical degree and residency training in emergency medicine at Loma Linda University.
Brandon McCullough, PA-C
Advanced Practice Provider Director
Brandon McCullough began his career in healthcare in 2005 as an EMT and advanced to a 9-1-1 paramedic in 2008. During this time, he served as a paramedic preceptor and paramedic skills instructor at Mt. San Antonio College, gaining over a decade of experience in pre-hospital medicine. In 2018, he embarked on the next phase of his professional journey by completing the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University.
