Your Stay

Have a pleasant visit.

No one looks forward to a hospital stay, but at Barstow Community Hospital, we work hard to make sure your visit is as pleasant as possible. Here are a few things you should know about your room and our hospital in general that can help make your time with us restful and healing.

Barstow Community Hospital provides private and semi-private rooms based on level of care needed and room availability. For more information about room amenities, please see our Patient Handbook.

Your Bed:

Beds at Barstow Community Hospital are adjustable and come with electronic controls and safety side railings. The nursing staff will show you how to properly work the controls.

Television Channels:

Each room features high-definition, satellite television. For a complete listing of channels, please see our Patient Handbook.

Interpreters:

Barstow Community Hospital can accommodate non-English speaking patients. Please contact the nursing staff to learn more.

Fire Safety:

Barstow Community Hospital periodically performs fire and disaster drills. Please remain calm and in your room. In the event of a real emergency, hospital staff will direct you to the nearest safe exit.

Smoking:

Barstow Community Hospital is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on hospital grounds.

Meals:

In-room meals are provided three times a day. Menus are designed to meet patient’s dietary needs. Please let Nutrition Services know if you have any religious food preferences or food allergies.

Breakfast: 7:30 am
Lunch: 12:00 pm
Dinner: 5:30 pm
